Gerontology Minor Program

The Gerontology Minor consists of two required courses (Gerontology M140; Gerontology M119O or Gerontology M119X) and 5 electives, which must be selected from the list of approved courses for the minor.
To enter the minor, students must complete the two required courses* (see above) with an overall GPA of 2.0 or better, and see a counselor in the Gerontology Minor Office (8631 Franz Hall) to file a petition to declare. The minor will be indicated on the student’s transcript and diploma.
Other gerontology-related courses not listed in the Gerontology Minor Approved Electives may be petitioned for substitution.
All courses for the minor must be taken for a letter grade** with an overall GPA of 2.0.
